It independently assesses and recognises the efforts of educational institution to manage and reduce their carbon emissions through 4 levels of certification.
This structured approach recognises that Educational Institutions are at different stages in their journey towards comprehensive carbon management.
We will set strategies & goals to reduce the footprint you defined and put a customised Emission Management Plan which includes SBTi
Near-term science-based targets are defined by targets for the next three to five years, when decarbonisation reaches 20% as compared to a baseline year.
Mid-term science-based targets are defined by targets till 2035 when decarbonisation reaches over 40-50% as compared to baseline emissions.
Long-term science-based targets are achieved when decarbonisation reaches over 90% as compared to baseline emissions, to achieve Net Zero by 2050, with residual targets addressed with neutralisation.
Carbon Reduction Plan / Decarbonisation Plan
The programme's process includes
To join one of the 4 levels of the programme, Educational Institution must have their carbon footprints independently verified by one of the Carbon Auditors approved by the programme’s committee.
